How to take good quality pictures at home

Seja porque tem um blog ou para as contas de redes sociais ou simplesmente porque quer registar momentos com a família, tirar fotos em casa pode ser uma boa opção sobretudo neste momento em que a permanência no exterior pode ser mais complicada de gerir.
Mas tirar boas fotografias dentro de casa pode ser um desafio especialmente para quem não tem muita experiência e/ou conhecimento da componente mais técnica da fotografia. Por isso juntei algumas dicas práticas de como pode tirar fotos bonitas e de qualidade dentro de casa.

Whether because you have a blog or for your social media or simply because you want to record moments with your family, taking photos at home can be a good option especially at this time when being outside can be more complicated to manage. But taking good pictures indoors can be a challenge especially for those who don't have much experience and/or knowledge of the most technical component of photography. So I gathered some practical tips on how you can take beautiful and good quality photos indoors.
Escolha um cenário / Choose the scenario
Esta é uma das partes fundamentais para conseguir fotos bonitas. Ao escolher o cenário o ideal é que seja o mais simples e neutro possível para evitar demasiada informação ou ruído visual na foto que possa distrair do foco/sujeito principal.
Pode optar por uma parede lisa ou usar, p.e., lençóis ou colchas de forma a criar um fundo (ou backdrop) para a foto. Pode também acrescentar alguns elementos como uma jarra, um quadro ou um banco ligeiramente de lado de forma a emoldurar e a criar mais interesse na foto final.
Experimente e vá tirando fotos com o telemóvel para perceber do que gosta e do que acha que funciona.

When choosing the scenario, the ideal is to be as simple and neutral as possible to avoid too much information or visual noise in the photo that can distract from the main focus / subject. You can choose a smooth wall or use, for example, sheets or bedspreads to create a backdrop for the photo. You can also add some elements like a vase, a frame or a bench slightly to the side in order to frame and create more interest in the final photo. Try it out and take pictures with your phone to understand what you like and what you think works.
A Luz / The Light
A luz é outro dos fatores essenciais para uma foto bonita. O ideal é ter luz natural e para isso pode fotografar perto de uma janela com boa exposição solar. Pode tentar brincar com o efeito direto do sol para fazer jogos de sombra e luz ou usar o efeito de um cortinado branco semi transparente para dissipar a luz criando assim um efeito mais suave e mais neutro.

Light is another essential factor for a beautiful photo. The ideal is to have natural light and for that you can shoot near a window with good sun exposure. You can try to play with the direct effect of the sun to play with shadow and light or use the effect of a semi-transparent white curtain to dissipate the light thus creating a smoother and more neutral effect.
O Equipamento / The Equipment
Hoje em dia com a qualidade das câmeras dos telemóveis já se consegue fazer fotos de excelente qualidade. No entanto para fotos mais elaboradas e com efeitos de desfoque uma máquina faz diferença. Seja qual for o equipamento que esteja a usar é importante usar um tripé ou algo que sirva de tripé, como livros ou caixas que permitam elevar e suportar a máquina ou telemóvel.
Uma outra dica importante é, em situações em que se esteja a fotografar a si mesmo, caso a máquina permita ligação wi-fi, pode instalar a aplicação da mesma no telemóvel e desta forma conseguirá ver exatamente o que vai fotografar através do telemóvel. Pode e deve usar a opção de timer para realizar o disparo e tem ainda a opção de disparar várias fotos de seguida, permitindo-lhe ir variando as posições o que lhe dará mais escolha na hora de selecionar a foto.

A inspiração pode surgir do nada ou pode procurar por ela. Inspire-se em contas e sites de que gosta e tente recriar fotografias de que tenha realmente gostado. Possivelmente não irá conseguir à primeira ou então não irá conseguir o efeito exato que tinha idealizado, mas este pequeno exercício permitir-lhe-á ganhar experiência e até descobrir coisas novas na arte da fotografia. Com o tempo conseguirá ir fazendo fotografias cada vez melhores.
O melhor de tudo é que dentro de casa pode dar asas à imaginação e não ter de se preocupar com assistência indesejada.

You may not be able to achieve it at first or you will not be able to achieve the exact effect you had envisioned, but this small exercise will allow you to gain experience and even discover new things in the art of photography. Over time you will be able to make better and better photographs. Best of all, indoors you can let your imagination run wild and not have to worry about unwanted assistance.
