Crostinis de figos, requeijão e alecrim
Sou uma romântica incurável. Julgo que, por esta altura da vida e com três filhos, isto já me devia ter passado. Mas não, continuo uma romântica sonhadora que adora romances, histórias de amor eterno e até com um toque de dramatismo.

I am a hopeless romantic. I would think that, by this time of life with three children, this should be something from the past. But nope, I'm still a dreamer who loves romantic novels, eternal love stories and even a touch of drama.
E a verdade é que, de alguma forma, tento dar à minha vida um toque de romance sob as mais diversas formas.
Desde a forma como alinho as almofadas quando faço a minha cama, à forma como escolho a roupa que visto pela manhã. Desde o beijo que lhe dou à noite, às flores que compro para os inúmeros jarrões espalhados pela casa, à forma como sintonizo o rádio para me fazer companhia enquanto trabalho.

And the truth is that, somehow, I try to give my life a touch of romance under the most different ways.
From the way I align the pillows when I make my bed, to how I choose my garments in the morning. From the kiss I give him late at night, to the flowers I buy for the numerous vases around the house, to how I tune the radio to keep me company while I work.
Pouco há que eu faça que não tenha um toque de romance. E as minhas receitas são um pouco reflexo disso. A doçura na dose certa, os detalhes subtis que elevam os ingredientes mais humildes, a forma como um prato, uma colher, um guardanapo acrescentam algo de misterioso à mesa.
O romance é talvez a minha arma secreta para quase tudo.

There's not that much I do that hasn't a touch of romance. And my recipes are a bit of a reflection of that. The sweetness in the right amount, the subtle details that elevate the humblest ingredients, the way a plate, a spoon, a napkin add something mysterious at the table.
Romance is probably my secret weapon for almost anything.
O romance é e sempre será o ingrediente derradeiro em qualquer que seja o tema na minha vida. Há quem deixe de acreditar nele, há quem o encare como algo próprio apenas da vida adolescente.
Eu... bom, eu vejo-o como algo indispensável no dia a dia. Porque sem romance nada seria tão belo, tão agradável e tão entusiasmante.

Romance is and always will be the ultimate ingredient in whatever theme in my life. There are those who stop believing in it, those who see it as something propor only to adolescent life.
Me... well, I see it as something necessary in everyday life. Because without romance nothing would be as beautiful, as nice and as exciting.
Crostinis de figos, requeijão e alecrim
Ingredientes
Fatias de pão de centeio (ou outro a gosto)
Requeijão
Figos frescos
Sal
Folhas de alecrim fresco
Doce (opcional)
Preparação
1. Tostar as fatias de pão ligeiramente.
2. Envolver o requeijão com uma pitada de sal. Cortar os figos em fatias longitudinalmente.
3. Em cada fatia de pão dispor um pouco do requeijão, os figos e algumas folhas de alecrim. Deitar um pouco de doce por cima e servir.

Ingredients
Rye bread slices (or another to taste)
cottage cheese
fresh figs
salt
Fresh rosemary leaves
Jam (optional)
Method
1. Toast the slices of bread slightly.
2. Mix the cheese with a pinch of salt. Cut the figs into slices lengthwise.
3. On each slice of bread put a bit of cheese, some figs and some rosemary leaves. Pour a little jam on top and serve.
