Quem, da minha idade, não se lembra da saga original Star Wars - ou a Guerra das Estrelas - e de toda a mística que envolvia esse mundo e as suas personagens?
Desde Darth Vader - interpretado pelo fantástico James Earl Jones com a sua voz fenomenal - a Hans Solo, Luke Skywalker e a princesa Leia.
A saga marcou toda uma geração e, de certa forma, também a mim ainda que não fosse originalmente uma das fãs mais acérrimas. Mas a verdade é que não há como esquecer o momento célebre em que, sob uma máscara preta e num ambiente sombrio, Darth Vader surpreendeu o mundo ao afirmar “Luke, I am your father” - ou “Luke, eu sou o teu pai!”
Os anos passaram e eis que a saga ganha toda uma nova dinâmica ao apostar em novas personagens carismáticas e fortes ao mesmo tempo que faz regressar os originais Luke Skywalker, agora como um eremita recluso, e Leia uma lenda viva que lidera o grupo da Resistência contra as forças negras.
Mas são as escolhas das personagens principais neste último filme Star Wars: Os Últimos Jedi que representam ambos os lados da Força, Kylo Ren e Rey respetivamente que me agarraram ao ecrã e que me converteram numa fã, quiçá mais acérrima agora, da Star Wars.
Por um lado Kylo Ren, interpretado por Adam River, faz-nos odiá-lo e amá-lo ao mesmo tempo, algo que por si só torna o curso da história muito mais interessante. Por outro a escolha de uma personagem feminina para ocupar o papel de heroína numa saga que seria originalmente mais voltada aos rapazes, faz-nos querer, sem dúvida alguma, continuar a acompanhar o caminho de Rey.
A verdade é que esta saga é uma daquelas que se converte num culto rapidamente e, tendo em casa um fã incondicional e outro em formação - pai e filho respectivamente - acho que acompanhar a célebre Star Wars é uma forma de, enquanto família, partilharmos algo em conjunto.
Escusado será dizer que o Rafa já foi um Darth Vader - num qualquer carnaval passado - e que as lutas de espadas de lazer (com sons bem realistas) são uma constante cá por casa, em que são vários à mistura mas ganha sempre o mesmo.
E eu não resisti a juntar-me e deixar-me, também eu, levar pelo novo filme dos Últimos Jedi. A história está muito bem conseguida e consegue surpreender, há uma excelente dose de humor que nos faz querer mais e as cenas de ficção não desiludem.
Por isso fica a dica para um serão bem passado para toda a família, se ainda não foram ver, não percam este último filme de Star Wars: Os Últimos Jedi.

Who, at my age, doesn't remember the original Star Wars saga and all the mystique that enveloped this world and its characters?
From Darth Vader - played by the fantastic James Earl Jones with his phenomenal voice - to Hans Solo, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia.
The saga marked a whole generation and, in a way, it also marked me although I wasn't originally one of the most fierce fans. But the truth is that there is no way one could forget the celebrated moment when, under a black mask and a dark environment, Darth Vader surprised the world by saying "Luke, I am your father".
The years passed and the saga gains a whole new momentum by betting on new charismatic and strong characters while returning the original Luke Skywalker, now as a recluse hermit, and Leia a living legend that leads the resistance group against the dark forces.
But it's the main characters choices in this latest movie Star Wars: The Last Jedi that represent both sides of the Force, Kylo Ren and Rey respectively who grabbed me on the screen and who transformed me in a Star Wars, perhaps now more eager, fan.
On the one hand Kylo Ren, played by Adam River, makes us hate him and love him at the same time, something that in itself makes the course of the history much more interesting. On the other hand, the choice of a female character to play the role of heroin in a saga that would originally be aimed mostly at boys, makes us want without a doubt to continue following Rey's path.
The truth is that this saga is one of those that becomes a cult quickly and, having at home an unconditional fan and another in formation - father and son respectively - I think that accompanying the celebrated Star Wars is a way of, as a family, share something together.
It goes without saying that Rafa was once a Darth Vader - in some past carnival - and that laser sword fights (with very realistic sounds) are a constant here at home, in which there are several to the mix but always ends up winning the same.
And I didn't resist joining and letting myself, too, be carried into the new movie of the Last Jedi. The story is very well achieved and manages to surprise, there is an excellent dose of humor that makes us want more and the scenes of fiction do not disappoint.
So here's the tip for a well spent time for the whole family, if you haven't seen it yet, don't miss this latest Star Wars movie: The Last Jedi.
